《藍色星球》是首部全面探討海洋生態與自然歷史的紀錄片。由英國廣播電台BBC與Discovery共同製作，拍攝時間長達五年、足跡遍及全球七大洲、多達200個拍攝地點。《藍色星球》背景音樂貼切且活潑地呈現海底生物的趣味與特質，為配樂大師喬治．芬頓再贏得一座「傑出配樂作曲家」艾美獎。

2006年《藍色星球》發展出音樂會型式的演出，不可思議的深海畫面及現場音樂的感動震撼，吸引了各種年齡層的觀眾，現場驚嘆聲不斷，可說是娛樂性、教育性與環保意識兼具的音樂會演出。

The world famous documentary series "The Blue Planet" is a joint production from BBC and Discovery channel featuring awesome soundtrack music composed by composer George Fenton that enhances the scenes with life and character.
